QUESTION: Would you like to earn even more money from your
website....without having to lift a finger?
Assuming your answer is
"Yes!"...Let me show you how. In addition to the obvious
money-making opportunity your business guide provides, there are also 'built-in'
profit makers using affiliate marketing that make you money without you even
knowing it. I've already programmed your website with affiliate links to
eBay (in your marketplace), Priceline, and more. Anytime one of your
website visitors clicks through from your site and makes a purchase, you get
paid!! Plus I will show you how to create links, add banners, write
articles and more to generate revenue from 1000's of other affiliate programs.
First, follow these instructions to obtain an affiliate account
and to connect your account to our built-in affiliate programs:
Step 1: Go to Commission
Junction and set up a free Publisher account here:
https://signup.cj.com/member/publisherSignUp.do
After completing the signup, login to your account if you haven't already.
Step 2: Click on the "Account"
Tab, then the "Web Site Settings" Tab. In that section you will see your
name, and below that your
"PID".
This is your ID# that tells CJ who sent the visitor and enables them to track it
and pay you (So it's important!). Copy
the number down and then go to your "Site Settings" in Site Manager.
Scroll down to the form field called "Commission
Junction PID" and enter this number in that box, then submit the form to update
it. Step 3:
After signing up at CJ, log into your account and click the "Get Links" tab.
In the search box, type ebay.com. Look for the
regular eBay.com logo (should be the 3rd from the top). Check the box to
the left of the logo, scroll down and click "Apply
for program". This will get you signed up for their program.
Next do the same for Priceline & Buy.com and apply to their
programs as well.
These programs are three of the most
profitable in the CJ system, and they are already built into your website, once
you have completed the 3 steps above and both merchants have accepted your
application, you will be all set!
How to set up additional affiliate
programs &
link to them from your website:
I have pre-programmed the site to
get you started earning money as an affiliate...however, there is no limit to
the amount of programs you can sign up for and how you link to them. Just
find an affiliate merchant on CJ that you want to link to from your site, and
apply to their program by checking the box to the left of their logo and
clicking "Apply to Program". As soon as they approve your application you
can get their links and banners.
To link to your new affiliate
merchants, you can put affiliate banners on your site, create a frames page with
an affiliate website below your logo and links, and even write a small article
about an affiliate merchant on your homepage with a link. These are all
ways to drive your visitors to your affiliate websites and earn more $$$.
I'm going to show you how to do each of these right here. As always, if
you have problems, just visit the helpdesk and ask.
How to add an Commission Junction affiliate banner to
your website:
It's easy to add a CJ banner to any
of the banner spaces on your website. All it takes is a short and simple
introduction to html, and learning which part of the code to extract for your
needs. Here is a step by step tutorial:
Apply for any Commission Junction
Affiliate Program by logging into your account, clicking the "Get Links" tab,
and finding the program you would like to join. When you find it, simply
click the check box to place a check mark in it, scroll down, and click "Apply
to Program". You will be instructed on what to do next, and whether you
are immediately accepted, or if they have to manually process your application.
After you have been accepted, login
to your CJ account and click the "Get Links" tab once again. This time,
click the "By Relationship" tab and it will bring up all of the programs you
have successfully joined. Simply find the program you want to add a banner
for and click the name of the advertiser (on the left side of the page)
This will open a new window.
You should see a box that says "Get Links" and below that a link titled
"Banner". Click the "Banner" link to bring up the list of banners you can
use. If you want your banner in the content portion of your pages (the
white space), then find a horizontal banner no more than 500 pixels wide.
If you want to add a banner to the right hand column of your site, find a banner
no more than 125 pixels wide. This measurement is generally shown directly
beneath the banner image.
After picking the banner, now you
are ready to get the code. Click on the banner image you want to use.
On the next page scroll down and click "Get HTML". The next page will
contain the code you need at the bottom, that looks something like this:
<a href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-1738262-10392970"
target="_top">Priceline.com Hotels - save up to 50%</a>
<img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1738262-10392970"
width="1" height="1" border="0"/>
This contains all you need to add your new banner. First what you see in
green
is the link URL (the page you want to send the user to). The
purple
code is the banner image URL (the
location of the banner image). Keep this page open as you will want to
copy and paste these two parts of this code into your banner ad manager in the
next step.
This is the last step! Simply
go to Banner Ad Manager and find the
banner location that you want to place the new banner in. You'll see one
form field titled "Banner Link URL" and below that "Banner Image URL". All
you have to do to insert the new banner is return to the CJ code page, highlight
the
green
section of code (only the part between the quotation marks) and right click,
then copy that URL. Go back to Banner Ad Manager and paste this URL into
the Banner Link URL box. Do the same for the Banner Image URL, then submit
the form and you're done. (Hint: If you aren't comfortably copying and
pasting, you could write them both down, but if you miss a letter or number the
link will not work...so please be careful!)
How to add a Commission Junction
affiliate link to a framed page :
With this integration you will be
adding a new link to your website, and when clicked it will go to a page with
your logo header and links at the top, and the affiliate page framed below.
It's very easy to do...just follow these steps:
Follow steps 1-4 above. Be
sure the banner you choose links to the page you want to link directly to (i.e.
- homepage, special deals, etc)
Copy ONLY the Link URL (green)
portion of the code from the Commission Junction Get HTML page (example below)
<a href="http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-1738262-10392970"
target="_top">Priceline.com Hotels - save up to 50%</a>
<img src="http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1738262-10392970" width="1" height="1"
border="0"/>
Go to your Link Manager and use the
form to add an "External" link to your website. Just enter the desired
title of the link in the first box, and then copy the full URL (including
http://) into the second box. Submit the form and your new affiliate link
will be created!
